Rising Stars of Violonissimo

The “With Passion” gala concert at Victoria Hall celebrates the 25th anniversary of Violonissimo. Under the artistic direction of Hong Anh Shapiro, the event features baroque violinist Olivier Brault and young Violonissimo talents performing works by Antonio Vivaldi, Pablo de Sarasate, Fritz Kreisler, and Astor Piazzolla.

Four choirs and an orchestra from the University of Geneva will perform in December, presenting their finest winter tunes across five diverse concerts. The performances feature a chamber choir, a university choir, a contemporary music choir, a gospel choir, and the university orchestra, all set in iconic venues such as the Temple de Carouge, Hall of Uni Mail, Temple de la Madeleine, and Salle Frank Martin.

The 133rd edition of Geneva’s iconic satirical show, La Revue Genevoise 2025, takes place at the Casino-Théâtre before its renovation. Blending musical comedy, songs, dance, and sharp humor, the Revue playfully revisits local, national, and international news. It promises a festive and witty evening to enjoy with friends, family, or colleagues, celebrating laughter, wonder, and the end of an era at the theater.

AMR continues its partnership with Porto’s Porta Jazz association. Four musicians, two from each association, will showcase the outcome of their creative collaboration following a three-day residency. The participating artists are Tom Brunt (guitar), Samuel Jakubec (drums), Eduardo Dias (drums), and Hugo Ferreira (guitar).

2 – 7 December

This evocative and musical performance project tells the poignant love story of Chess and Serena within the confines of a women’s prison. While in her cell, Chess uses singing as a means to escape reality, reflecting on her past, her crime, and her daughter. After Serena is released, Chess is left alone but finds solace and liberation through music composition, guided by Silver, a producer who conducts workshops in the prison. This narrative acts as a liberating incantation against isolation and confinement.
