Formed in 2002, Skankin’ Society is a pivotal Geneva collective and label that revives the golden age of Jamaican music. Their selections—roots reggae, rocksteady and gems from the 1960s and 70s—are curated with retro finesse and high-quality taste. Equipped with a vintage sound system, the crew (including Tim Gourdou-Labourdette, Camille Chappuis, Manohar Jonnalagedda, Simon Arbouille and Till Girardier) crafts a nocturnal journey through timeless Caribbean grooves and deep, sovereign vibrations.

Formed in 1998 in Sonoma, California, Groundation is a leading voice in progressive roots reggae. The band blends deep reggae rhythms with jazz-inflected harmonies, driven by soulful vocal arrangements, hypnotic melodies and complex polyrhythms. Since the breakthrough with Hebron Gate (2002), produced by Jim Fox, Groundation has released eleven albums and collaborated with Jamaican legends. Their evolving line-up sustains a warm, meditative stage presence that balances improvisation with composed richness.

Returning for its twentieth edition, Les Aubes brings softness and poetry to Geneva mornings. At dawn, intimate musical encounters offer delicate soundscapes that stir the senses, favouring close listening and subtle atmospheres. The programme highlights a variety of acoustic and experimental projects, from solo performances to chamber ensembles, each designed to awaken the city with refined timbres and attentive pacing. A gentle celebration of morning listening and communal presence.

Charles Nouveau offers an intimate, fast-paced solo improvised show built entirely from audience prompts. With razor-sharp comic timing and playful curiosity, he turns themes suggested by the room into spontaneous sketches, jokes and conversations. Each performance is unique, mixing candid interaction with surreal detours and unpredictable stand-up rhythms, inviting the audience to co-create the evening. Runs about one hour and foregrounds improvisation as a theatrical experiment.
