Evelyne Brügger, a certified art therapist, leads the workshops with support from Joëlle Mauris, a professional cellist whose music accompanies one session per cycle.

The sessions explore creative practices to support women living with endometriosis, PMS or menstrual pain, addressing emotional expression, body awareness and coping strategies. Participants investigate materials and processes to rediscover inner resources, share experiences, and develop ways to express and regulate sensations through art and sound.

Saturday 24 January, 16:30

Fatima Ndoye, performer of the solo piece « Quand j’étais blanche », joins a female panel with Silvina Der‑Meguerditchian and Adelina Cüberyan von Fürstenberg, moderated by journalist Elisabeth Chardon.

The discussion examines how migration, memory and identity shape artistic practice, exploring theatre, dance and testimonial forms as vehicles for intercultural dialogue. Panelists investigate how roots and ancestral histories inform creative expression, revealing shared themes, tensions and strategies for making the experience of elsewhere audible in contemporary art.

19 – 24 January

Director and scenographer Fabrizio Montecchi, former director of Gioco Vita and coordinator of the Animateria programme, leads a professional workshop investigating shadow theatre as a fully-fledged artistic language. The sessions begin with technical and dramaturgical fundamentals, then invite participants to develop original sequences that prioritise sensitivity and poetic imagery. The programme emphasises practical experimentation, spatial composition and narrative invention, aiming to expand participants’ expressive vocabulary.

Saturday 24 January, 17:00

Thomas Dobler arranged the project alongside the Ayekoo Drummers—founders of a Ghanaian percussion ensemble (est. 2007) with international festival experience—and the HEMU Jazz Orchestra, a flagship ensemble of master’s performance students.

This masterclass and concert examines the meeting of jazz, classical writing, highlife and ancestral West African rhythms. It explores improvisation, contemporary arranging and rhythmic dialogue, revealing how cross-cultural collaboration shapes new compositional forms and performance practices.

Sunday 25 January, 16:00

Authors Philippe Durant and Cécile Delîle bring expertise in writing about art theft and literary fiction, drawing on research and narrative practice to illuminate the fate of lost masterpieces.

This literary walk examines what becomes of artworks that disappear, exploring spectacular thefts and a fictional piece inspired by a stolen Magritte. The discussion investigates motives, the legal and ethical questions surrounding looted works, and how narrative and memory transform the cultural meaning of missing art.

29 September 2025 – 1 June 2026

This reading group will explore, in eight sessions, a selection of literary works that have “transcended the time and place of their origin,” in the spirit of Martin Bodmer’s definition of Weltliteratur — or world literature — as dear to Goethe. A literary journey across time and continents, guided by the shared affinities of the participants.

Historian of art, Hélène Leibkutsch moves between languages and cultures, driven by her passion for art, literature, and music. She holds a Master of Arts from the University of Geneva, where she studied art history, general linguistics, and English, as well as a CAS in Cultural Institution Promotion from the University of Neuchâtel. With international experience in art history and the art market, she has maintained a deep interest in literature throughout her career. She served on the board of the Société de Lecture, acting as vice-president for two terms (2008–2010; 2012–2019), and chaired the Reading Commission (2010–2021), where she remains an active member.
