Located in Vernier, the International Environment House (IEH) is a two-building complex inaugurated in 1999 by the Swiss Federal Office for the Environment and the Canton of Geneva. It houses offices and institutions dedicated to environmental and sustainable development, fostering synergies and partnerships, and occasionally hosting related conferences.
Join a day dedicated to bridging science and policy, organized by the Geneva Environment Network, focusing on the pressing global challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. Experts, stakeholders, and member states will engage in lightning talks, panel discussions, and an interactive fair, underscoring the crucial connection between science and policy for planetary protection. The event will highlight the key role of science-policy interfaces for informed international decision-making, featuring a presentation of the GEO-7 edition. The interactive fair will showcase Geneva’s leadership in environmental governance and science-based decision processes.
