Quatuor Zaïde plunges into Schubert’s luminous yet tormented world with a programme of three cornerstone works that reveal the Romantic composer’s emotional depth: the quartet Death and the Maiden, the song-cycle-inspired Le Roi des Aulnes and Quartet No.13 “Rosemonde”. The string quartet, acclaimed for its finesse and intensity, shapes a suspended experience at the border between dream, pain and beauty, drawing out lyrical lines, dark undercurrents and intimate dialogue among the voices.
The Orchestre Concertus, joined by the Ensemble Vocal Orphée and soloists under the baton of Matthieu Schweyer, will perform works by Antonio Vivaldi at Victoria Hall. The program includes “The Four Seasons,” “Concerto for Four Violins,” and the “Magnificat.”
Le Grand Bal, by Cie Dyptik and directed by Souhail Marchiche and Mehdi Meghari, gathers nine performers in a fierce choreography that turns movement into political gesture. The piece blends raw physicality, collective pulse and dramatic tension—sweat, struggle and exaltation drive a ritual-like dance that resists stasis and norms. Lighting and movement sculpt a visceral atmosphere where each gesture reads as both revolt and release, inviting the audience into a shared trance of embodied freedom.
Performed by Françoise Courvoisier (voice), pianist and composer Moncef Genoud, and saxophonist Valentin Conus, this project sets Henri Michaux’s poems against a sensual jazz soundscape. Genoud’s original compositions and borrowed motifs intertwine with Courvoisier’s vocal phrasing and Conus’s supple saxophone, leaving space for improvisation. The piece explores memory, fragility and shifting ground through fragmented text and elastic musical lines, creating an intimate, dreamlike atmosphere where language and music open doors to the imagination.

Directed by Marie Wyler and adapted from Violaine Bérot’s novel, Comme des bêtes follows a man nicknamed “the Bear” whose difference unsettles a mountain village after a child is sighted near his cave. Performed by Marie Probst, Marie Ruchat, Alexandra Tiedemann and David Casada, the piece mixes elements of folk tale and detective narrative to probe mutual taming between humans and other forms of life. Giulia Muniz’s costumes, David Kretonic’s lighting and Rudy Deceliere’s sound design build a tense, mysterious atmosphere that questions the limits of rationality.
