Over the past four years more than 200,000 spectators have been drawn into the world of Mary Candies. Festival de la Bâtie – Blanc Manioc x Furie Sound System brings together the Franco‑Brazilian collective Furie Sound System and the pan‑African electronic label Blanc Manioc for a celebratory finale. Scène Vagabonde’s seventh edition brings a compact program of contemporary theatre and music, presenting three contrasting stage works — “Par le bout du nez”, “Quadrille” and “Prima facie” — alongside a concert by Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp as part of La Bâtie-Festival de Genève. Soundtrack: Finding Home blends song, staged movement and spoken monologue to trace the fragile journey of a newcomer to Geneva. Performed by a mix of professional and amateur artists, the piece navigates doubt, joy and the search for belonging through intimate vocal textures and choreographed tableaux. The city is imagined as a living presence that answers and challenges the protagonist, while lighting and sound sketches create shifting atmospheres, moving from disorientation to tentative connection.

Roomful of Teeth, an American vocal ensemble celebrated with multiple Grammy Awards, transforms the voice into a versatile, multi‑modal instrument. Eight singers combine virtuosic technique and exploratory spirit to present two complementary works: Gabriel Kahane’s Elevator Songs, a suite of musical narratives sketching a mosaic of lives and eras, and Caroline Shaw’s Partita for 8 Voices, a landmark score where timbres collide and cohere. The programme balances collective precision and individual freedom, moving between humour, fragility, memory and astonishment.
An intimate season-closing afternoon of live music and communal dance. Folk‑rock singer‑guitarist Chess’co offers warm voice-and-guitar songs that mingle with the rhythms of an open milonga, inviting both listening and movement. The program balances acoustic storytelling and close-up dance, with light and sound shaping a convivial, slightly nostalgic atmosphere. Performers and dancers create spontaneous encounters between melody and tango steps, producing an accessible, social experience that moves from relaxed listening to lively floor moments.
Choreographed by Saša Asentić, Le Sacre du printemps is a reimagined Stravinsky landmark performed by the inclusive company Per.Art. Drawing on historical versions by the Ballets Russes, Maurice Béjart and Pina Bausch and enriched with the voices of disabled poets from Serbia, Iran, Ukraine and the United States, the seven dancers invert the original narrative. The staging transforms ritual into a manifesto of survival, blending physical rigor, collective solidarity and poetic testimony to renew the score as a cry for life.
