A theatrical adaptation of Plato’s “The Republic,” directed by José Lillo, delves into the timeless themes of governance and justice. The play enjoyed a triumphant first run in 2022, filling the Pitoëff Theatre to capacity and performing to sold-out audiences, fueled by strong word-of-mouth. The cast includes Jean-Alexandre Blanchet, Felipe Castro, and other talents. Supported by the City of Geneva, this production invites audiences to reflect anew on Plato’s insights into the perils of power concentration and unchecked profit.

 

11 – 14 December

Poussière de Crotte dans le Cœur d’une Diva by Marlène Charpentié is a surreal solo performance blending theater, dance, and clowning in a fantastical cabaret setting. Under a whimsical, papier-mâché moon, three lost souls cross paths in a dreamlike garden, exploring absurd quests, love, power, and time. Equal parts humorous, melancholic, and politically charged, the show invites the audience into a grotesque yet enchanting world where imagination and emotion intertwine in a 90-minute nocturnal reverie.
