Le Premier Sexe

A man performs on stage, sharing a personal reflection alongside his family, friends, therapist, colleagues, and ex-partners. In seven acts, he delves into pivotal anecdotes to question gender imperatives from childhood to adulthood. The play, “Le Premier Sexe,” addresses the journey from oppression to emancipation and the shift from toxic masculinity to a distinctive masculine identity. Produced by Compagnie Passages, with Mickaël Délis responsible for both writing and directing, in collaboration with Vladimir Perrin and other artists.

The arrival of the Fire Chief and the maid Marie sparks surreal situations and unexpected outbursts, before the Smiths dismiss the unlikely visitors and return to their original monotony. This production, directed by Cyril Kaiser, features puppets by Christophe Kiss alongside actors Vincent Babel, Nicole Bachmann, Blaise Granget, and Vanessa Battistini.

This performance is part of the Scène Vagabonde Festival.

In “L’Aquarium,” Calaferte delves into the monotony and routine of a couple after many years together. Set during a fall evening, this comedy highlights how former passionate partners become unable to surprise each other, trapped in their daily lives much like fish swimming in circles in an aquarium. The humor emerges from everyday situations, skillfully captured by the author.

With astonishingly funny gestures and sound effects, he embodies sets, objects, and characters, offering a clownish yet poetic look at the ordinary. A playful mirror of life that makes you laugh while awakening the child within us all.
