Le Dernier Cèdre du Liban

Written by Aïda Asgharzadeh and directed by Nikola Carton, Le Dernier Cèdre du Liban traces Eva’s search for identity through the discovery of her mother’s wartime audio recordings. The intimate drama, performed by three committed actors, juxtaposes personal memory and collective history with a spare, minimalist set and a subtle play of light that transports the audience across time and place. The piece moves without melodrama, balancing tenderness and shock.
