Vicente Lesser Gutierrez presents KA’WIN, an evolving urban object showcased as part of the FMAC’s “Art in Public Spaces” competition. KA’WIN is an interactive installation centered around a circular bench, placed in various locations throughout Geneva and brought to life through performances and soundtracks.

Written by Elisa Shua Dusapin and directed by Ludovic Chazaud, Le vieil incendie delicately explores the fragile bond between two sisters separated by time, silence, and absence. Fifteen years after their estrangement, they reunite in the family home destined for demolition, where childhood memories and buried wounds resurface. Blending words, gestures, and silence, this poetic and sensory play reveals what still connects us — to loved ones, to places, and to shared memory.

7 – 19 October

The play “Five Days in March” by Toshiki Okada, directed by Nadim Ahmed, captures the lives of young Tokyoites in March 2003 against the backdrop of the Iraq War. A couple randomly meets and isolates themselves in a love hotel, while other aimless characters drift nearby, preoccupied with their everyday lives and uncertainties. This play portrays a generation caught between carefree living and a sense of powerlessness in the face of historical events.

7 October – 2 november

Chez Lui is a wordless performance where Patrik Cottet-Moine turns everyday life into a living cartoon. With astonishingly funny gestures and sound effects, he embodies sets, objects, and characters, offering a clownish yet poetic look at the ordinary. A playful mirror of life that makes you laugh while awakening the child within us all.

Tuesday 7 October, 20:00

Germaine Acogny, Pina Bausch, and the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève (OCG) come together for an extraordinary performance of The Rite of Spring. Over a hundred musicians and dancers from 13 African countries explore the ritual of sacrifice and the seasonal shift from winter to spring. The program features Pina Bausch’s rare solo PHILIPS 836 887 DSY, Germaine Acogny’s Homage to the Ancestors, and Stravinsky’s masterpiece choreographed by Bausch, creating a powerful, immersive experience where rhythm, movement, and primal energy converge.
