Hexes

Directed by Antea Tomicic and staged with the artistic vision of Magdalena Karpinski, Hexes lifts fifteen years of testimonies collected by Eléonore Mercier in Je suis complètement battue. A chorus of forty women makes these raw words resonate in public, transforming private pain into collective demand. The piece combines vocal performance, spatial mapping by Maxime Le Meillour and sound design by Andrea Muluk to unsettle complacency and name the social order that protects abusers.

Choreographed by María del Mar Suárez (La Chachi), this hybrid flamenco pieces tradition and punk sensibility into a raw, personal language. On stage two musicians and a singer shape a live soundscape that frames La Chachi’s emergence: a dim light reveals her silhouette as she advances and begins an ascension. Her motions coil and break in looping cycles as the music intensifies. Visceral and hypnotic, the performance immerses spectators in concentrated rhythms and fierce corporeal poetry.

Presented by Electron Festival, Detroit Legends gathers pioneers Cybotron and Dopplereffekt for a dialogue between two foundational visions of techno. Their early experiments fused futurism, electronic machinery and African-American musical culture, shaping a sound that still echoes across generations. The evening opens with Geneva’s Orphia, whose analog textures, metronomic rhythms and luminous atmospheres form a bridge between origins and contemporary electronic practice. Three live sets, multiple generations, a concentrated portrait of the lineage and emotional force of Detroit electronic music.
