Flora Incognita

Curated by Leticia Maciel, Flora Incognita brings together works by David Elia, Marius Margot, Vivianne van Singer, Heberth Sobral and Vasilis Zografos to explore unclassified plant worlds as a metaphor for artistic practices that resist fixed categories. Ceramics form a central thread: clay appears as a material of memory and transformation in Sobral’s, Zografos’s and Elia’s work. Elia’s cyanotypes probe botanical archives and classification systems, van Singer investigates colour and perception, and Margot proposes speculative vegetal ecologies where nature and fiction converge.

Alice Izzo presents Botanic Circus, an immersive installation that transforms natural elements into a poetic visual performance. Through site-specific sculptural forms, coloured assemblies of flowers, plants and fruit become staged protagonists, inviting slow wandering, close observation and tactile interaction. The work blends installation, painted surfaces and ephemeral botanical assemblage to probe nature’s textures, theatricality and human perception. A parallel programme of monthly acrylic painting workshops complements the installation.

21 May – 31 August

Senegalese artist Adji Diouf presents a solo exhibition of paintings that move between figuration and abstraction. Colour structures the compositions, with warm, luminous palettes where the gaze becomes an anchor in abstract fields. Recurrent cultural motifs emerge across canvases, informing a poetic and visual vocabulary. The show highlights the artist’s sustained practice and pictorial exploration of memory, identity and transmission through layered surfaces and rhythmic forms.

3 July – 5 September

Luca Mancone repurposes receipts and thermal paper; Eilena Braye converts microscopic structures into vivid abstraction; Justyna Maria Porowska and Didier Van der Borght negotiate geometry, surface and imagined silhouettes.

3 July – 5 September

Chris Lovasoa Kauffmann presents a new body of work that explores architectural form and symbolic resonance through sculpture, painting and installation. Minimal geometries and textured surfaces negotiate scale and monumentality, while layered materials and subtle color shifts invite reflection on construction, memory and cultural lineage. The works balance rigorous formalism with tactile evidence of process, proposing an austere yet intimate meditation on how built forms shape perception and collective narratives.
