The exhibition highlights Geneva’s remarkable trees and the men and women who care for them. It explores stewardship, memory and urban ecology, revealing how individual trees anchor community histories and daily practices of care. Combining documentary and artistic perspectives, the presentation considers cultural and environmental dimensions of urban trees, inviting reflection on our relationship with living monuments and the labour that sustains them.
Cécile Koepfli creates a site-specific window installation of colorful, poetic drawings. Mischievous characters, everyday objects, and fragments of text assemble into a playful, sensitive imaginary world. The works, rendered directly on window panes, unfold as tableaux and narrative vignettes that invite viewers to imagine the activities and encounters that will animate the space.
A seek-and-find game encourages close looking and slow discovery across the illustrated surfaces.
The Tender Buttons exhibition offers a multidisciplinary exploration centered on buttons, delving into their identity and historical significance. Featuring over three hundred ceramic and glass buttons, the exhibition interacts with the museum’s works to highlight their role in both formal experimentation and socio-cultural narratives. The exhibition’s architecture evokes the commercial arcades of the 19th century, a pivotal era for button industrialization. Curated by Claire FitzGerald, the exhibition is supported by the Swiss Fashion Museum and showcases never-before-seen pieces from several prestigious collections.
Traces of Presence gathers artists whose practices examine what remains beyond immediate visibility. Through painting, photography, abstraction and material transformation, the show explores presence as memory carried through matter, process and perception. Roxana Bergt reworks still-life into vessels of memory and resilience; José Yaruro reinterprets classical forms; Marie Deforche paints quiet moments of solitude. Luca Mancone repurposes receipts and thermal paper; Eilena Braye converts microscopic structures into vivid abstraction; Justyna Maria Porowska and Didier Van der Borght negotiate geometry, surface and imagined silhouettes.

Measures of Infinity brings together works by Susanna Bauer, Frankie Gao and Carol Prusa in a contemplative exhibition of drawings, installations and meticulously crafted objects. Bauer transforms fragile leaves into intricate, almost meditative compositions; Gao offers pared-back drawings and open installations that evoke cosmic structures; Prusa constructs pieces informed by scientific models and unseen phenomena. Across scale and material, the show explores perception, precision and the tension between the intimate and the vast, inviting close looking and slow attention.
Afro‑Caribbean Stories brings together works by Ivonne González Núñez and Laura Arminda Kingsley that weave narratives of memory, identity and visibility rooted in Afro‑Caribbean cosmologies. Through photography, writing, performance, painting, digital imagery and sculpture, the artists examine heritage, resistance, creolisation and the interconnections of the living. The exhibition pairs intimate archival gestures with experimental material practices to reveal layered histories and speculative modes of belonging.

Blending intuition, symbolism, and material experimentation, the exhibition creates immersive spaces where personal narratives intersect with broader reflections on nature, coexistence, perception, and the shifting relationship between humanity and the world around us. Hosted by GOWEN Contemporary, Crossings invites viewers into a contemplative journey where objects, landscapes, and emotions continuously evolve across forms, meanings, and states of being.
