18 September – 4 December

Lari Medawar and Danniel Tostes present the second chapter of their residency at FMAC, titled VISIONS. This exhibition is a continuation of VISIBLE, which already delved into the diversity and representation within the City of Geneva’s Contemporary Art Fund collection. VISIONS highlights works by women, queer and trans individuals, artists of color, and other historically marginalized communities. It celebrates non-normative presences, intergenerational dialogues, and poetic expressions while questioning the future of public collections. The exhibition features pieces from numerous artists, including Luc Andrié, Pauline Boudry, and Renate Lorenz, among others.

Villa Dutoit showcases the exhibition “Regards croisés” featuring the works of Patrice Loubon and Daniela Montecinos. Patrice Loubon delves into collaborative and social creative processes, while Daniela Montecinos employs paintings and drawings of animal and human silhouettes alongside everyday objects. The artists, residing in Nîmes, tackle themes like movement, exile, marginalization, and invisibility. Their pieces utilize meaningful symbols and innovative techniques to craft a critical and experimental space.

The 2025 Société des Arts Prize honors Shirana Shahbazi, an Iranian-born visual artist and photographer based in Zurich, for her unique approach to photography and her constant ability to reinvent herself. Her work, blending photography, painting, and installation, explores themes of identity, memory, and cultural representation. Featured in major collections such as the Centre Pompidou, MoMA, and Tate Modern, Shahbazi embodies a bold and visionary practice that continues to inspire the field of contemporary art.
