Bricks and Braille: The Alphabet in Lego

Build and explore braille by snapping bricks together to form letters and words. Children play and handle LEGO Braille Bricks to feel the raised patterns and learn how the tactile alphabet works. Through playful challenges and small construction games, they read by touch, create their own words, and discover different ways of communicating. The workshop is hands-on, sensory, and encourages curiosity, cooperation, and inclusive thinking.

Follow Ugly, a plucky duckling who leaves the farmyard, meets quirky characters and discovers the value of being different in this witty, tuneful musical adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s tale. Student actors bring colourful characters to life with songs, movement and gentle humour, creating a warm family theatre experience that celebrates diversity, empathy and belonging.

Discover a lively open workshop where kids shape, paint and build together. Children explore colours, textures and simple tools to make small creations, share stories and play in a friendly space. Activities encourage meeting others, learning through making and celebrating different cultures. Expect bright papers, rhythmic sounds, busy hands and playful movement as children try new ideas and craft things to take home.

Decorate delicious butter biscuits and craft a pretty gift box to hold more treats in this hands-on cooking workshop. Guided by Laura Moser, children will use colorful icing, sprinkles and playful cutters to personalise their creations, practising fine motor skills and creativity while sharing a cozy tasting moment. Activities combine crafting and simple baking techniques to spark imagination and sensory discovery.

Explore buzzing life at a hands-on family afternoon of games, workshops and honey tasting. Taste sweet honeys, smell floral scents, and learn about stingless melipona and wild bees from projects in Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda and the DRC. Build a bee box, roll seed bombs to green urban spaces, and try simple beekeeping activities. Bright colors, crackling sounds of bees and sticky golden honey invite curiosity while teaching why bees matter and how to protect them.
