Ben Thouard is an ocean artist and one of the world’s foremost surf photographers. In his work water becomes a darkroom, an underwater camera obscura that reveals a singular, immersive vision. This exhibition presents previously unseen photography born of a near-daily practice: a language of water and light. Between organic forms, deep textures and shifts of shadow and clarity, Thouard’s images move between abstraction and contemplation, offering a sensory experience that explores the movements and metamorphoses of liquid matter.

MABE Gallery presents Forza Silenziosa, the second solo exhibition of Sofia Cacciapaglia, whose paintings evoke a quiet, fluid world where forms, bodies, and landscapes gently merge, expressing a soft yet powerful feminine presence rooted in emotion, connection, and subtle energy.

Her work emphasizes transformation, intimacy, and dreamlike atmospheres, where silence carries intensity. Using reclaimed cardboard from her Milan neighborhood, she connects to the ethos of Arte Povera—a movement theorized by Germano Celant and associated with artists like Michelangelo Pistoletto and Jannis Kounellis—by embracing ‘poor’ materials and their histories; however, she diverges through her distinctly figurative and painterly approach, transforming humble surfaces into poetic images that bridge material awareness with narrative, imagination, and contemporary femininity.

HiFlow

HiFlow launches Quand le vivant nous fait agir, a year-long programme that explores how living systems can inspire new ways of thinking and acting. Bringing together artists, researchers, designers, entrepreneurs and thinkers, HiFlow becomes a space for experimentation and dialogue around more sensitive and sustainable futures. The first chapter, “Hybridations fertiles”, transforms the venue into a living laboratory through a collective exhibition, off-site projects, conferences, performances and workshops at the crossroads of art, design, life sciences and hybrid technologies.

Five Mini Shows presents distinct exhibitions across separate rooms, bringing together major figures of Australian Aboriginal painting alongside contemporary painting, installation, drawing and sculpture. Works by Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori and Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi sit next to new and historical painting by John Armleder, expansive installations by Chiharu Shiota, sculptural interventions by Balint Zsako and drawing-based work by Rachel Marks. The programme explores materiality, relational display and dialogues between indigenous traditions and contemporary abstraction.

Measures of Infinity brings together works by Susanna Bauer, Frankie Gao and Carol Prusa in a contemplative exhibition of drawings, installations and meticulously crafted objects. Bauer transforms fragile leaves into intricate, almost meditative compositions; Gao offers pared-back drawings and open installations that evoke cosmic structures; Prusa constructs pieces informed by scientific models and unseen phenomena. Victoire Cathalan presents a series of paintings that trace the porous boundary between human presence and forested life. Through layered oils and textured surfaces, her canvases evoke arboreal forms, bodily traces and the regenerative forces of the living world. The exhibition invites sustained looking at the vegetal as subject and collaborator, exploring scale, gesture and the interdependence of bodies and trees through a subtle palette and material intensity.
