Performed by Françoise Courvoisier (voice), pianist and composer Moncef Genoud, and saxophonist Valentin Conus, this project sets Henri Michaux’s poems against a sensual jazz soundscape. Genoud’s original compositions and borrowed motifs intertwine with Courvoisier’s vocal phrasing and Conus’s supple saxophone, leaving space for improvisation. The piece explores memory, fragility and shifting ground through fragmented text and elastic musical lines, creating an intimate, dreamlike atmosphere where language and music open doors to the imagination.

An original text by Virginie Despentes is brought to life by a dancer, an actor, a percussionist, and a singer. This performance delves into contemporary themes of anger, violence, and disillusionment with a fiery clarity, dark humor, and a desperate tenderness, urging for a revolution of compassion.

24 March – 12 April

Directed by Marie Wyler and adapted from Violaine Bérot’s novel, Comme des bêtes follows a man nicknamed “the Bear” whose difference unsettles a mountain village after a child is sighted near his cave. Performed by Marie Probst, Marie Ruchat, Alexandra Tiedemann and David Casada, the piece mixes elements of folk tale and detective narrative to probe mutual taming between humans and other forms of life. Giulia Muniz’s costumes, David Kretonic’s lighting and Rudy Deceliere’s sound design build a tense, mysterious atmosphere that questions the limits of rationality.

Since 2016 the duo Tribade delivers sharp, feminist rap that confronts heteropatriarchy and capitalism. After a breakthrough debut (2019) and the confrontational album Dyke (2022), their 2024 release La Tregua marks clear artistic growth. They forge a raw sound blending Afrobeat, flamenco and breakbeat, pairing pointed lyrics with propulsive rhythms. On stage the pair’s confrontational attitude and vocal intensity create an explosive, cathartic atmosphere that merges protest and celebration.

United Strings of Europe revisit fairy-tale and folk soundscapes in a programme built around Stravinsky’s Divertimento from the ballet Le baiser de la fée. The ensemble is joined by violinist and conductor Julian Azkoul in a programme ranging from Jessie Montgomery’s Starburst and Bartók’s Romanian Dances to Telemann’s Gulliver travels, Atterberg’s Adagio amoroso and Grieg’s Holberg Suite. Expect vivid textures, rhythmic vitality and lyrical soloism in a chamber-orchestral evening.
