Atlantis, inspired by the myth of the submerged city, intertwines baroque music, dance, and theater to delve into urban madness. Directed by dance icons Dakota and Nadia, alongside David Greilsammer, this multidisciplinary show tackles contemporary themes. The ASL is marking its 45th anniversary with the immersive exhibition “Léman, l’éveil d’un peuple” (Léman, the Awakening of a People). This exhibition chronicles the fierce battle to rescue Lake Geneva from suffocation between the 1960s and 2000, driven by the collective efforts of associations, scientists, fishermen, journalists, and institutions. It offers a journey filled with documents and personal accounts, reminding visitors of the power of individual action in protecting the lake. The event features a variety of activities suitable for all ages, including fun missions for children, conferences, and guided tours. It also highlights the lake’s current challenges and encourages active engagement in its preservation.
The Byron Quartet and Matteo Mela present “Souvenir d’Espagne,” a concert showcasing works inspired by Spanish music. The program includes Turina’s “Oración del torero” and “Serenata”, Boccherini’s renowned “Fandango”, and Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Quintet with its “Souvenir d’Espagne” movement. These pieces, infused with influences from Haydn, d’Indy, Franck, Debussy, Schubert, Ravel, Andalusian music, and flamenco, beautifully capture the spirit of the guitar.
Actor Samuel Labarthe turns Nicolas Bouvier’s fever-drenched memoir The Scorpion-Fish into a hypnotic, miniaturist tour de force: marooned in 1950s Ceylon after a headlong road trip from Geneva through the Balkans and Afghanistan, the once-ebullient traveller spirals into tropical delirium, trading human company for buzzing insects, mirage-bright visions and mordant humour that flits between the sublime and the grotesque. Under Catherine Schaub’s finely gauged direction, Labarthe channels both the lush lyricism and the slow-burn torment of this “motionless voyage,” distilling Bouvier’s languid prose into a tactile, rejuvenating elixir that lets the audience feel every bead of sweat, jolt of wonder and sting of isolation.

The GPHG exhibition showcases 90 timepieces shortlisted by the Academy, accompanied by creations from students of watch design and interior architecture at HEAD – Geneva.
