Swiss wildlife photographer Michel Roggo presents a photographic study of Lake Geneva’s hidden underwater ecosystems, from glacial headwaters to the harbour. Through large-format images and immersive compositions, Roggo reveals the lake’s ecological dynamics, the health and climatic challenges it faces, and the delicate biological balances sustaining aquatic life. The series balances scientific observation with poetic framing, inviting reflection on conservation and the fragile interdependence of species within freshwater environments.

An immersive circuit inviting participants to rediscover the world through the lens of neurodiversity. The presentation combines a photographic exhibition and informative panels with virtual‑reality workshops and tactile, hands‑on activities, culminating in collective reflection and sharing. The project was developed within a DEI action framework in collaboration with university and community partners, and favors experiential, sensory-driven formats to foster empathy and broaden understanding of diverse cognitive experiences.

Dany Gignoux (photographer) and poet Georges Haldas present a compelling dialogue between documentary photography and lyrical prose. The exhibition brings together photographs and written fragments that register everyday life in Geneva’s cafés, combining on-the-spot reportage with memory-infused “prose inspirée.” Through intimate black-and-white images and spare, evocative texts the works transfigure mundane scenes into poetic testimony, revealing social undercurrents and human tenderness. Archival materials frame this historic encounter between two generations of cultural chroniclers.

Collection du Crest

An expanded presentation of works from the Geneva School and the Lake Geneva region brings together paintings and drawings by Ferdinand Hodler, François Bocion, John Torcapel, Alexandre Perrier, Félix Vallotton, Alexandre Cingria and Jean Roll. The display traces regional artistic dialogues across centuries, from academic realism to symbolist and modernist approaches, highlighting technique, compositional daring and materiality. The collection has grown through acquisitions and generous donations, and includes a very rare painting executed in Geneva before 1650, now shown to the public.

Nature never deceives us: Jean-Jacques Rousseau herbarium

Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s herbarium, compiled in the 1770s for the printer-bookseller Charles-Joseph Panckoucke, is presented through preserved pressed specimens, its original catalogue and related botanical publications. The historical collection combines scientific observation and aesthetic arrangement, revealing Enlightenment approaches to collecting, classification and the popularisation of plant study. Detailed notes and annotations illuminate Rousseau’s techniques and the materiality of specimens, inviting reflection on how personal curiosity and scholarly networks shaped early modern natural history.

La Fonte

La Fonte is a cultural space located in the Halles de la Fonderie in Carouge. These former workshops, made available by the City of Carouge, host a variety of community and cultural activities each year, including a refreshment area, concerts, artist residencies, workshops, and exhibition and lecture series. The eponymous collective is responsible for programming and organizing these events.

Mi Mawai and Madzerokai present an immersive audiovisual installation born from a residency exchange between the Brazilian Amazon and Geneva. The work invites immersion in Baniwa cosmology through video, layered soundscapes, flutes, traditional singing and dance. Visitors are invited to lie in hammocks and on mats for contemplative encounters with projected landscapes and ritual sonic textures. The piece foregrounds ancestral knowledge, collective memory and multisensory modes of storytelling.
