Afrosonica – Soundscapes

Join Myriam Boucris for an audio journey through the Afrosonica – Soundscapes exhibition. Open to all, this experience combines music, dance, and storytelling for a sensory immersion where sound becomes a tool for memory and transformation.

Afrosonica – Soundscapes is an immersive exhibition exploring the deep cultural significance of sound and music in African societies and their diasporas. Through historical and contemporary perspectives, it highlights the power of sound as a bridge between memory, identity, and transformation. Featuring a diverse collection of instruments, archival recordings, and contemporary installations, the exhibition invites visitors on a multisensory journey where music connects the past and present, the human and the spiritual.

Join in a week of celebrations marking the 47th anniversary of the Théâtre du Loup Company and the launch of a new chapter. Led by artist Rachel Maisonneuve, participants step into the roles of journalists to produce humorous and spooky audio segments, exploring a family home where objects come to life.

The library team invites you to explore biodiversity with outdoor activities, including games, coloring, storytelling, and readings in the garden. Enjoy books and tales about the plant world, engage in board games, and relish a playful and creative exploration of biodiversity in a relaxed setting. Should the weather not cooperate, activities will continue indoors at the Mediation Space. These events complement the “Our Biodiversity” exhibition at the Botanical Garden.

Family visit to discover an aspect of the MEG permanent exhibition.

As part of the “Partir en livres” programme, whose theme for this summer is “Animals and us”, let’s discover the gifts given by all the animals of the Arctic on the occasion of Koulou’s birth. After looking at the Inuit objects in the permanent exhibition, let’s listen to Koulou’s poem in the music room of the library. The visit will end with listening to Inuit sounds.
