Formed in 2017 and based in Geneva, The Molitors are an alternative rock/indie quartet whose songs draw on influences from Nick Cave, The Smiths, Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd and Nick Drake. Their original compositions explore dystopia, solitude, love and hope, balanced between brooding ballads and expansive, guitar-driven textures. Fronted by David Powell (vocals, guitar) with Sébastien Gabriel (bass), Anthony Weber (guitar) and Sébastien Steinmann (drums, piano), the band’s recent album deepens their atmospheric, melancholic sound.
Swing de Fou is an ensemble with a variable lineup rooted in New Orleans jazz. It preserves the street-like, processional spirit and favors arrangements that can move listeners to tears while privileging collective improvisation. Under the project “The New-Orleanizators”, the group rejects dusty purism and actively new-orléanizes repertoires beyond the Crescent City, from English pop to Italian and French songs like “L’été indien”. Key performers: Yohan Jacquier (sax), Nicolas Grimm (trumpet), Jérôme Gautschi (trombone), Ariel Garcia (banjo), Joël Musy (tuba) and Luc Ramu (drums).
Led by Thierry Courlet (voice, piano, compositions), Le Thierryble revisits 1960s–70s rock with French-language lyrics that blend bittersweet poetry and wry paranoia. Electric guitars give way to cello and delicate arrangements by Vartan Baonian, while Maëllie’s vocal textures and percussion colour the sound. Influences such as Pink Floyd, the Beatles and Genesis surface without pastiche, creating melancholic, cinematic moments. Presented within the Musique à Pont-Rouge programme in collaboration with FA-MI, the set feels intimate and reflective.
