Located within the EMA music school in the Plainpalais district, The Auditorium Ansermet is a renowned concert and recording venue that can accommodate up to 300 people. Its legendary acoustics have attracted numerous musicians for recording sessions and concerts. Recently renovated with high-tech equipment, this space hosts concerts produced by both EMA and external artists, including the Geneva Chamber Orchestra and the Ensemble Contrechamps.
Swiss pianist Moncef Genoud and tenor saxophonist Seamus Blake form a rare, magnetic duo that unfolds in an intense, free-flowing musical dialogue. Their interplay balances lyrical sensitivity and rhythmic drive, with Blake’s tonal palette (echoes of Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Gonzalo Rubalcaba) inspiring Genoud’s responsive pianism. The program privileges spontaneous exchange, open improvisation and vivid timbral colors, where each phrase feels like a conversation and breath becomes momentum, creating a luminous, immersive jazz experience.
Enter a playful musical world with two short family shows. First, follow Timouk, a boy who loses his voice and rediscovers it through dreamy scenes, singing soloists and lively orchestral colors. After a shared snack, laugh along with Croches Pattes: a spirited, comic musical duel between two composers full of quick rhythms, bright timbres, and silly sparks. Sing, listen, and watch movement and sound bring stories to life for curious children.
