Exhibition opening and book launch of Cosmopolemos

Edmund Clark and Crofton Black present a seven-year research project examining the US military-industrial complex through the interplay of images, data and language. The exhibition brings together photographic and research-based works that confront surveillance, institutional power and historical systems of violence. Textual fragments, documentary images and data visualisations interweave to question representation, accountability and the humanitarian narratives that shape contemporary conflict.

Geneva art, out in the vineyards. Housed in a converted agricultural building on the Château du Crest estate, this collection follows three centuries of the Geneva School through landscapes, lake views, portraits and still lifes — including works by Hodler, Liotard, Agasse and Pradier. Art followed by a countryside wander? Yes, please.

17 September – 3 November

Swiss artist Seline Burn presents a series of about a dozen paintings that explore liminal territories where identities, emotions and relationships transform. Figures in motion, in relation or in passage emerge from an omnipresent water, which functions as memory, inner landscape and dream space. Recurring colours weave a sensitive thread through contrasts and tensions across the works. The exhibition encourages contemplation of ambivalence and the possibility of finding forms of belonging within transient states.

Opening: Thursday 17 September, 18:00

15 September – 31 October

Martin Hyde presents an exhibition examining the relationships between painting, object, ceramics, design and poetry. His practice blurs boundaries between disciplines, producing works that sit between painted surfaces, ceramic forms and functional design, often scaled to engage the surrounding architecture. The show presents sculptural paintings and crafted objects that consider materiality, repetition and the poetics of domestic forms and scale.

8 October – 29 August

Humanitarian, by Design? explores the often-overlooked role of design in humanitarian action, from objects and emergency shelters to maps, images and digital technologies. Bringing together nearly 200 objects—most presented to the public for the first time—the exhibition examines how design shapes the way crises are experienced, managed and represented. Across three perspectives—objects, spaces and imaginaries—it reveals both the creative potential and the tensions embedded in humanitarian design. A multidisciplinary exhibition that questions how design can support care, dignity and resilience in times of crisis.

17 September – 7 November

An exhibition presenting work by Garry Fabian Miller, Ptolemy Mann and Marit Tingleff, curated by Sarah Griffin. Across photography, weaving and ceramics, the show explores the darkroom, the dye lab and the kiln as sites of material transformation. The artists draw on deep embodied knowledge and long practice, using process, environment and material behaviour to shape outcomes. The works probe attention to texture, colour and time, revealing subtle relations between technique and the natural conditions that inform each practice.
