Art Genève brings together leading international galleries, institutional and private collections, independent spaces and guest curators to present modern and contemporary art. The fair showcases painting, sculpture, photography, and installation across historical and experimental practices, emphasising dialogues between established and emergent approaches. Curated sectors highlight thematic investigations into materiality, urban experience and memory, while gallery presentations foreground technique and medium. Getting Robotic

Claire Guanella presents a series of works titled Getting Robotic that anchors her practice in filiation and networks. Four artists present works that probe resonances between microcosm and macrocosm, from cellular structures to galactic formations. Combining painting, sculpture, immersive installation, photography and sound, the exhibition foregrounds material processes and perceptual scale. Through microscopic imagery, enlarged textures and sonic layers, the artists explore embodiment, cosmological narratives and the contingencies of matter. Interdisciplinary techniques—mixed media, bio-inspired materials and site-responsive lighting—invite reflective engagement with scale, fragility and relational systems.

Ferdinand Hodler’s work is reconsidered as a modern spiritual quest in this presentation.
Around fifty paintings, drawings and archival documents trace his evolution from Protestant-inspired religious scenes to Symbolist compositions. Hodler’s visual language foregrounds rhythm, the body and the natural world, seeking unity between human presence and universal form. The works employ oil painting, drawing and graphic materials to evoke contemplative states. Curated by Niklaus Manuel Güdel, the selection highlights the inner, meditative dimension of his practice.

Gisèle Bonin – Fragiles

Gisèle Bonin presents Fragiles, an exhibition of drawings, photography and installation that examines fragment, memory and intimate loss. Using sanguine, graphite and charcoal, Bonin composes delicate, grain‑sensitive surfaces where bodily fragments become sites of presence and silent testimony. The work reflects on exile and absence, revealing how gestures of drawing and measured installation practices hold traces of difficult histories without explicit narration.

Their Crops, Our Roots – Portraits of Women in Geneva’s Countryside

Photographer Bertrand Carlier presents a series of large-format portraits that foreground women working across Geneva’s agricultural landscape. The photographs depict market gardeners, winegrowers, fruit growers, livestock farmers and cellar managers in their working environments, using natural light and documentary framing.
The project explores gender, labour and continuity, revealing how women’s labour shapes rural economies and biocultural traditions. Set against the UN’s International Year of the Woman Farmer 2026, the work invites renewed attention to the diversity of skills and trajectories within contemporary Geneva agriculture.

Stéphane Ducret presents Being Matters, an immersive series of recent paintings that map psyche and the living realm. The presentation gathers seven large to very large oil paintings on linen alongside a series of small-format works on wood. Through layered surfaces, deliberate errors and a dense pictorial process, Ducret explores invisible mechanisms of thought, memory and introspection. The works function as atmospheric studies of materiality and painterly gesture, charting states of mind and organic presence.
