Prof. Jacques Schrenzel, full professor and group leader at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva, presents current research on the human microbiota. The talk explains how skin and internal microbiota protect against infection and support immune function, and examines possible links with conditions such as diabetes, obesity and Parkinson’s disease. It explores how the microbiota adapts to diet and whether it can be used for diagnosis or therapeutic modification.
