An experimental one-day encounter curated around transformations of matter, featuring artists Marie Ducaté, Sillycat Glassblower and Turbo Particules. Works range from glassblowing and demonstrations with recycled glass, to clay and hand-built ceramics, color-based installations, soundscapes using theremin and projected light, plus participatory workshops.
Through surface, fire, light and gesture, the programme examines material change — how processes reveal hidden properties, provoke sensory shifts and reframe everyday substances as sites of wonder and inquiry.

Galerie Aux Portes de la Champagne

Armand Cacheux (1868–1965) is a Geneva portraitist whose practice encompasses intimate portraiture and landscape. After decades teaching and serving as dean of the École des Beaux-Arts de Genève, his work was shown in major Swiss and international museums. This exhibition brings together his landscapes and portraits, highlighting technique, composition and the artist’s engagement with memory and place. Selected works are presented with family testimony by his granddaughter Jacqueline Corajod.

Marisa Cornejo: El Taller de la Fragilidad

On the occasion of her first institutional solo exhibition in Geneva, Marisa Cornejo presents El Taller de la Fragilidad, bringing together new sculptures, drawings, and installations. Born in Chile and based in Switzerland, the artist draws on her experience of exile to explore the relationships between memory, displacement, absence, and repair. Several of the works have been created especially for Halle Nord, examining the forms of resilience that emerge from uprootedness. Recipient of the Fondation Francine Delacrétaz Prize (2023) and a Swiss Art Award (2024), Marisa Cornejo’s practice spans sculpture, drawing, installation, performance, and archival research.

Station 505

Swiss artist Andreas Kressig presents Station 505, a temporary sculpture-pavilion conceived as an architectural and sensory intervention. Built in relation to an existing fountain, the work paradoxically conceals and reveals water while offering both an exterior sculpture to contemplate and an interior space to inhabit. Through material presence and spatial thresholds it interrogates public versus private realms. The project is activated by shared moments with the artist centred on a communal tea service and reflections on its diverse cultural interpretations.

Antoni Tàpies – Variations on a Musical Theme

Antoni Tàpies presents the complete series “Variations on a Musical Theme”, twenty lithographs created in 1987. The suite reveals Tàpies’s fascination with the interplay between visual art and music: each variation establishes its own rhythm, material presence and visual language. Treated as a continuous sequence, the works unfold like a musical score, inviting an immersive reading of process, texture and symbolic gesture within the artist’s graphic practice.

Halle Nord

Ianne Kenfack Kitio continues her inquiry into representations of Black femininity and the construction of identity. In this photographic work, produced as a cyanotype, she treats the image as a space of transformation rather than a fixed depiction. The piece links material and concept: its blue evokes Ndop indigo textiles of the Grassfields and the artist’s Bamiléké heritage, while the cyanotype’s gradual emergence mirrors identity as an ongoing process of thresholds and metamorphosis.
