Directed by Mariama Sylla, this staging of Stephen Sachs’s play follows Maud, a down‑on‑her‑luck barmaid who discovers a painting that may be a Pollock. Carine Barbey and Frédéric Landenberg bring wit and grit to a sharp, class-conscious comedy-drama opposite Lionel Percy, an art expert. Khaled Khouri’s scenography, William Ballerio’s lighting, Pierre Omer’s music and Marion Schmid’s costumes shape an acidic, human portrait. Translation: Jerry Henning; assistant: Pauline Lebet; makeup: Katrine Zingg; painting: Eric Vuille. Coproduction with Cie La Gamine.
