Performed by the Arkhè Quintet — Edouard Liechti, Nicolas Jéquier, Patrick Leyvraz, Arthur Guignard and Pascal Desarzens — this programme gathers musicians from French-speaking Switzerland who have collaborated for two decades. As a quintet they bring Schubert’s String Quintet to life with attentive ensemble playing, revealing lush textures, resonant low strings and luminous melodic lines. Aterciopelados, led by Andrea Echeverri and Héctor Buitrago, bring three decades of socially conscious rock fused with Latin rhythms. On this tour they celebrate La Pipa de la Paz — 30 Years with a set that balances electric immediacy and poetic lyricism. Support act Palenque La Papayera offers exuberant banda rooted in Caribbean mestizaje, communal dance and brass-driven textures. Together they create a festive, visceral dialogue where political urgency meets collective joy and movement.
Dedicated to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, this programme pairs intimate chamber textures with brighter divertimenti. The evening presents the Duo for violin and viola No. 1 in G major KV 423, Ein musikalischer Spaß KV 522 and Divertimento No. 11 in D major KV 251. The ensemble — Simon Sommerhalder, Clément Charpentier-Leroy, Agnès Chopin, Yin Shen, Yuwen Zhu, Marco Nirta, Gabriel Esteban and Ivy Wong — explores Mozart’s wit, rhythmic clarity and refined interplay, blending transparency, dynamic contrast and lyrical warmth.
Two short plays by Anton Chekhov staged by Tibor Ockenfels and Flavie Tapparel, presented as compact dramatic machines where romantic comedy masks escalating confrontations between desire, affection and material interest. Performances rely on precise physical timing, terse exchanges and a lean, playful design to reveal the simmering violence behind courtship rituals. The three actors — Estelle Bridet, Matteo Prandi and Raphaël Vachoux — inhabit heightened character types that shift between farce and darker comic truth, creating a sharply observed, kinetic evening.
