Time of Music — Some Thinking & Feeling

Created by Jennifer Walshe, Some Thinking & Feeling is a work for voice, analogue voice, synthesizer and an experimental fanfare, performed by Ensemble Contrechamps. The piece juxtaposes acoustic and electronic timbres, moving between fragile vocal textures and bold brass eruptions. Through precise notation and theatrical presence, it explores listening, timbre and collective dynamics, inviting focused attention on sound, gesture and ensemble interplay.

Led by dancers Marianne and Mauricio, this milonga celebrates the social art of Argentine tango. Intimate embraces and rhythmic footwork alternate with playful turns and lingering, lyrical moments. The simple setting frames bodies and breath, inviting both dancers and onlookers into a warm, communal atmosphere. Sound and silence shape the pacing, while phrasing and subtle gestures reveal personal stories. The evening foregrounds connection and musical conversation, offering a sensory encounter with tradition and improvisation.

Cirque Knie presents a family-oriented, large-scale circus spectacle combining athletic acrobatics, equestrian artistry and choreographed variety numbers. The programme balances fast-paced technical acts and poetic interludes, with careful staging, lighting and live musical accompaniment to create moments of wonder and humour. Suitable for children from four years upwards, the show prioritises accessibility and comfort while offering an immersive, theatrical atmosphere that blends tradition and contemporary circus aesthetics.

Scène Vagabonde’s seventh edition brings a compact program of contemporary theatre and music, presenting three contrasting stage works — “Par le bout du nez”, “Quadrille” and “Prima facie” — alongside a concert by Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp as part of La Bâtie-Festival de Genève. Across intimate stagings the festival favors inventive direction, close ensemble interplay and a balance of wit and intensity, offering encounters that privilege physical presence, tonal variety and rigorous dramaturgy.

Primeurs Musicales is a dynamic classical music festival dedicated to discovering and supporting the next generation of musical talent. Showcasing outstanding young performers from conservatories and music academies, the festival creates meaningful opportunities for emerging artists to share the stage, collaborate with established musicians, and engage with new audiences. Through a diverse programme of concerts, chamber music performances, artistic encounters, and contemporary creations, Primeurs Musicales combines excellence, transmission, and innovation while making classical music more accessible, vibrant, and connected to today’s cultural landscape.

Festival Kurai x Gesa gathers leading and emerging electronic artists across two outdoor stages over three days. The programming blends immersive live sets, modular synthesis and DJ performances with curated production design and light textures that shift from late-afternoon warmth to nocturnal intensity. Expect layered soundscapes, rhythmic drive and communal dance energy, framed by careful sound engineering and stage dramaturgy. Free shuttles link festival stages and the late-night club programme.
