Taste sweet honeys, smell floral scents, and learn about stingless melipona and wild bees from projects in Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda and the DRC. Build a bee box, roll seed bombs to green urban spaces, and try simple beekeeping activities. Bright colors, crackling sounds of bees and sticky golden honey invite curiosity while teaching why bees matter and how to protect them.

Children and adults share stories, play and create through object theatre, illustrated concerts, parent–child yoga sessions, outdoor art walks, intergenerational game nights, photo displays, film screenings, museum and bookstore activities, library sessions and hands-on workshops. Bright visuals, movement and sound invite imagination and collaboration, with projects to make, watch and discuss.

Carac Festival is the University of Geneva’s month-long student cultural festival, bringing together dozens of student troupes and associations to share creations and experiences. The programme features theatre, dance, concerts, film screenings, arts-and-crafts workshops, stand-up, games, parades and exhibitions. Open to everyone in the university community and beyond, the festival celebrates collaboration, creativity and conviviality, offering occasions to meet, create and enjoy performances and activities together.

An interactive improvised fairy-tale performance where audience choices shape each adventure. The Niffler—mischievous, curious—awakens stories between dreams and imagination, prompting performers to invent characters, places and enchantments on the spot. Actors move fluidly between playful wonder and small trials, guided by spontaneous narrative turns and sparse, whimsical sound cues. Lighting and simple props suggest shifting worlds, creating an intimate, participatory atmosphere that invites laughter, surprise and collective storytelling.

25 April – 6 June

Learn and play chess in a lively, hands-on workshop for children and adults. Beginners will discover rules, pieces and basic tactics through games and exercises. Children are split into three groups by age and experience: 4–6-year-olds learn the rules; false beginners practise checkmates and tactical combinations; older kids build tactical awareness and strategic thinking. Adults receive practical coaching on openings and key themes, with guidance from Grandmaster Clovis Vernay. An exercise booklet is provided to every child.
