Femmenco Jazz: Mélodie Gimard 4tet & Karen Lugo

Led by pianist-composer Mélodie Gimard with dancer-choreographer Karen Lugo, Femmenco fuses flamenco, jazz and contemporary creation through an ensemble of five women: Gal Maestro (bass), Anna Colom (voice) and Nasrine Rahmani (percussion). Original compositions driven by feminine energy interweave with a bailaora’s expressive movements, creating dialogic exchanges between sound and body. The staging favours raw rhythmic intensity, intimate textures and luminous phrasing, transporting the audience into a warm, pulsating soundscape that rethinks flamenco’s contemporary voice.

Baptiste Cazaux presents a fragmented physical dance work that upends the senses. As choreographer and performer, Cazaux sculpts an explosive, hyperkinetic body that collides gestures, styles and sonic fragments like a DJ scratching samples. That’s Twisted mixes pop hymn nostalgia from the 2010s with a psychedelic collage of movement and sound, destabilising time, affect and perception. The piece traces contemporary melancholy and seeks transcendence through layered rhythms, distorted textures and sudden shifts in intensity. Création 2026, coproduction.

The venerable Dr Jekyll’s unsettling experiments unfold in a late-19th-century London laboratory, and his circle is drawn into mounting anguish as transformations accelerate.
