An intimate programme by five musicians that traces Portuguese song across centuries, from fervent 20th‑century folk to the ornate lines of Renaissance court singers. Led by vocalist Sofia Pedro and instrumentalists Tiago Simas Freire (flutes, cornet, bagpipes), Filipa Meneses (viola, rabel), Bor Zuljan (lute, guitar) and Rui Silva (adufe, pandeiro, bells), the performance blends rhythmic drive, modal melodies and delicate ornamentation. Presented in collaboration with the Ateliers d’ethnomusicologie and AMR, supported by the City of Geneva and Fonds culturel Sud.

Festival Antigel transforms Geneva into an experimental cultural playground each winter, a three-week laboratory of innovation. Programming mixes renowned and emerging artists across music, performance and visual projects, revealing unexpected sites and blending disciplines. A musical journey through the history of cabaret, from its origins to the present day, takes the stage at Théâtre Les Salons. Directed by Philippe Cohen, this production includes artists such as Bobby Lapointe and Aristide Bruant, accompanied by the talented Gaëlle Poirier on accordion and Narcisso Saùl on guitar. The ensemble, featuring Majbritt Byskov-Bridges, Philippe Cohen, Marie-Stéphane Fidanza, Claudia Lachat, Thomas Laubacher, and Kim Selamet, delivers a captivating evening filled with sketches and songs, offering a delightful blend of whimsy, romance, and humor.

Marc Ribot, a restless guitar legend, delivers an incandescent solo set that fuses jazz and Latin influences into a singular sonic journey. A catalyst of sounds, Ribot has shaped entire musical worlds alongside Tom Waits, the Lounge Lizards and Jim Jarmusch, and his recent album Map of a Blue City (2025) further confirms his adventurous virtuosity. In concert his playing becomes an immersive exploration of texture, rhythm and melody, moving from tender intimacy to volcanic intensity.
