La Magnificité

The Gurtner/Bovay/Gremaud collective showcases “La Magnificité” at Maison Saint-Gervais. This trio, consisting of Michèle Gurtner, Tiphanie Bovay-Klameth, and François Gremaud, performs a series of lively and absurd sketches that highlight a playful and purposeless blend of gestures and dialogue. Combining elements of automatic writing, surrealist games, and improvisation, their performance is naive, poetic, tender, and most importantly, hilariously engaging.

The groundbreaking performance by Boris Charmatz and Dimitri Chamblas, “À bras-le-corps,” first took the stage in 1993 and challenged traditional dance codes. Set in an intimate square surrounded by chairs, this performance embodied a spirit of libertarian and revolutionary dance.
