The Marielle Pinsard Company presents La Médaille ou À chacun son monstre  (The Medal or To Each Their Monster) at Maison Saint-Gervais, inspired by Marie-Thérèse Picard’s children’s voodoo tale. This imaginative performance features giant origami, live drawing, songs, sound effects, paper-cut scenes, masks, shadow play, and ventriloquism. The story follows a child who rescues another from an underwater monster, leading to a friendship and playful, whimsical strategies to conquer fears. With its vibrant and inventive staging, the production invites the audience to dive into the characters’ world.

LovPoem explores the void left by lost love through a dance that intertwines tenderness and pain. Ludovico Paladini embodies this emptiness, navigating between nostalgic memories and abrupt sound interruptions, unveiling the complexity of heartache with a mix of emotion, kitsch, and irony.

11 – 13 September

Khalid Abdalla, an actor and activist, takes us on a dynamic solo journey inspired by the 2011 Egyptian revolution and the counter-revolution that followed. Through a global mapping of events, he weaves together personal and political narratives, exploring themes such as colonialism, decolonization, friendship, loss, protests, uprisings, and the recent violence in Gaza.

Ages 14 and up.

29 August – 11 September

Jeanne Spaeter introduces a unique concept: a romantic relationship structured by a contract with 14 clauses and a trial period of 365 days. Documented and shared on Instagram with the hashtag #relationamoureusedequalité, the project features Mike, the chosen candidate. On stage, the audience participates by selecting objects, asking questions, voting, and sharing laughs. This performance challenges perceptions of love while providing entertainment.

28 August – 14 September

La Bâtie-Festival de Genève is a multidisciplinary festival in the Geneva region, featuring a vibrant mix of music, dance, theater, and performances over 18 days. Spanning more than forty venues, it offers around fifty events showcasing both national and international artists. The festival invites audiences to explore current cultural trends and engage with diverse artistic perspectives.
