Widefield Series

Widefield Series presents a selection of screen-printed editions acquired by the Art Fund in 2025 from ten artists associated with the Widefield Project.

Founded in Geneva in 2016 by Matheline Marmy and Jean‑Marie Fahy, the platform foregrounds edition-making and collaboration. The works — prints and multiples produced through serigraphy — probe reproducibility, collective authorship and materiality, using graphic, process-driven gestures and experimental production techniques. The exhibition reveals how editions can expand circulation and question singularity in contemporary practice.

Opening: Thursday 26 November, 17:30

18 September – 25 October

Swiss artist Séverin Guelpa presents Rift, a vast immersive installation that shapes a sonic and telluric twilight. The work stages the fault as a porous space of listening, passage and transformation, where subterranean sounds converse with human voices and instrumental resonances. The presentation includes a live sound performance and collaborative vocal interventions with Varoujan Chetirian (sound composition), Antoine Läng (vocals and instrument) and Yvonne Harder (vocals), articulating material, temporal and acoustic relations.

Permanent exhibition

Two centuries of Geneva history told through uniforms, photographs, posters, equipment, and personal objects. Rather than simply lining up military artefacts, the museum places them back into the events and stories that shaped the canton from the Restoration to the present day.

Permanent exhibition

Your eyes are about to lie to you. More than 60 optical illusions, holograms, and immersive rooms play with scale, perspective, and perception in this hands-on museum. Unashamedly fun, highly photogenic, and an easy pick for families, friends, or a rainy Geneva afternoon.

3 September – 10 October

Ianne Kenfack Kitio continues her inquiry into representations of Black femininity and the construction of identity. In this photographic work, produced as a cyanotype, she treats the image as a space of transformation rather than a fixed depiction. The piece links material and concept: its blue evokes Ndop indigo textiles of the Grassfields and the artist’s Bamiléké heritage, while the cyanotype’s gradual emergence mirrors identity as an ongoing process of thresholds and metamorphosis.

3 September – 16 October

Photographer Bertrand Carlier presents a series of large-format portraits that foreground women working across Geneva’s agricultural landscape. The photographs depict market gardeners, winegrowers, fruit growers, livestock farmers and cellar managers in their working environments, using natural light and documentary framing.
The project explores gender, labour and continuity, revealing how women’s labour shapes rural economies and biocultural traditions. Set against the UN’s International Year of the Woman Farmer 2026, the work invites renewed attention to the diversity of skills and trajectories within contemporary Geneva agriculture.

18 September – 15 November

Conceived by artist Pauline Coquart, Short Ass Attention Span #3 mixes literary experiment and live performance, assembling texts that range from apocalyptic sketches to risqué autofiction and political essays on sexuality. Editors and collaborators Ethan Assouline and Gaia Vincensini shaped the selection and the edition’s visual identity, while attentive editorial direction and inventive layout treat writing as performative material. The project foregrounds plural contemporary voices, shifting between intimate confession, sharp aphorism and sprawling narrative to create a charged, porous atmosphere.
