Terpsycordes Quartet and Geneva Brass: Juliet & Romeo

The Terpsycordes Quartet and the Geneva Brass ensemble come together to present a unique creation titled “Juliette & Roméo”. Inspired by Sergei Prokofiev’s famous ballet music, this piece brings together a string quartet, a brass quintet, and percussion. This musical encounter pays tribute to the tragic love story of Verona’s famed lovers through an intense and moving performance.

Artists such as the Terpsycordes Quartet, Ensemble Zefiro, and the Young Performers Academy, among others, will grace the stage. Enjoy exceptional performances featuring Beethoven’s symphonies, Italian Renaissance songs, and music from ancient Greece. Admission is free, with a collection at the exit.

16 & 17 August

As part of the second edition of KorSonoR, the duo LABOUR (Colin Hacklander & Farahnaz Hatam) presents “more heat than light,” a sonic activation that intertwines architecture with sound ritual. Drawing inspiration from ancient Zoroastrian death rituals, this piece explores death as a transition between states of being, guided by music and chants. Their spatialized composition, featuring vocals, percussion, electronics, and double basses, interacts with the architecture to create a unique sound experience. The event is organized by the independent structure Arta Sperto, led by Olivier Kaeser.

13 – 17 August

A Bavarian folk dance troupe decides to reinvent itself by borrowing steps from around the world—until questions of cultural appropriation spark conflict within the group. Between stylised ritual and absurd confrontation, JIDDU explores the tensions between tradition, identity, and artistic transformation with humour and physical finesse.

17 & 18 August

The Summer Concerts at Saint-Germain invite you on a musical journey through the centuries every Sunday and Monday. The Ensemble Melpomen, featuring Arianna Savall, Giovanni Cantarini, Martin Lorenz, and Conrad Steinmann, performs ancient Greek music on rare instruments. Admission is free, with donations welcomed.
