As part of the Sunday Concerts, the Odyssée Frank Martin Orchestra, conducted by Zoé Zeniodi, presents the tale of Cinderella at Victoria Hall. Accompanied by storyteller Elodie Fondacci and soloists Clémence Tilquin (soprano), Maria Warenberg (mezzo-soprano), Karis Tucker (alto), and Jason Bridges (tenor), this piece composed by Frank Martin in 1942 blends humor and cruelty, offering a reading for both children and adults. Through its sound approach, the work explores the contradictions of the Brothers Grimm’s tale and reveals a spiritual and initiatory dimension of the story, transforming pure love into a quest for ultimate joy.
