Quatuor Ardeo — whose name means “I burn” — brings together four committed musicians known for vivid collective playing and an intense ensemble spirit. Joined by Pascal Moraguès, principal clarinet of the Orchestre de Paris, the group’s timbre acquires a new colour and breathing space. The programme moves from Borodin’s Nocturne through Mendelssohn’s Quartet No. 4 to Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet, unfolding dialogues of luminous clarity, intimate conversation and expressive warmth.

Country Cooking presents a brass-led celebration of Cape Jazz, drawing on 1950s exchanges between American jazz, Latin sounds and local marching bands, church choirs and animist traditions. The ensemble — Béatrice Graf (drums), Ludovic Lagana (trumpet), Yves Massy (trombone), Ian Gordon-Lennox (tuba) and Aina Rakotobe (alto sax) — performs works by contemporary South African composers arranged for brass band by Shama Milan. Valentin Liechti Trio returns three years after their debut with N O W WHAT?, an impressionistic, groove-driven set that invites daydreaming. The group’s unconventional instrumentation and the distinct personalities of Valentin Liechti (drums), Shems Bendali (trumpet) and Rodrigo Aravena (electric bass) shape a warm, exploratory sound. Compositions act as springboards for collective improvisation, with evolving motifs guided by subtle dynamics, textured timbres and intimate interplay that balances precision and spontaneous invention.
Led by Geneva-born Venezuelan percussionist Edwin Sanz, En Talla is a Geneva-based salsa quartet that lights up the stage with fiery Latin grooves and precise contemporary arrangements. Their music blends instrumental virtuosity with sophisticated writing, each track pulsing as an irresistible invitation to dance. The group’s live performances are both explosive and sensual, balancing tight ensemble interplay and rhythmic drive to create an immersive experience for salsa lovers and fans of sunlit rhythms.
