Maldoror

Directed by Julien Gosselin, Maldoror stages a rigorous dialogue between Roberto Bolaño and Lautréamont in a triptych that probes the relation between literature and evil. The production confronts violence, the Chilean dictatorship and the spectre of Nazism through a hybrid language of theatre, video and electronic music. A large ensemble — including Guillaume Bachelé, Rita Benmamman and Joseph Drouet — navigates dense imagery and moral ambiguity, in a confrontational, immersive mise-en-scène.
