Madame Butterfly, an opera by Giacomo Puccini with a libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, returns to the Grand Théâtre de Genève in a fresh production.  The opera tells the heartrending story of Cio-Cio-San, a geisha who sacrifices everything for her love for an American sailor. Directed by Barbora Horáková and featuring video art by Diana Markosian, this production weaves an intergenerational and intercontinental narrative, exploring themes of tradition and personal expectations. Co-created by Pascal Gravat and Julien Mages for Compagnie Revolver, “Nu Vite” (Naked Quickly) is a choreo-biography in which a dancer and an author probe time, ageing and the urgent need to seize each instant. The work blends intimate movement and written testimony, set to music by Pierce Warnecke with sound design by Clive Jenkins and lighting by Alessandra Domingues. The 75‑minute performance explores memory, bodily change and the delicate rhythm between presence and loss.

Performed and choreographed by Eugénie Rebetez, COMEBACK is a solo exploration of artistic, female and maternal identity. On stage she shifts through extravagant costumes and a blend of choreography, song and gesture, crafting scenic images that are both poetic and comic. The work moves between introspection and humour, intertwining contemporary dance and stand-up rhythms to question the artist’s status. Co-produced by Tanzhaus Zürich, Casino Théâtre de Rolle, Théâtre Boulimie and LE POCHE, it offers an intimate, unsettling and hilarious journey.

Formed by Jaklin and Louis, Ladaniva is a duo that fuses Balkan sonorities and Armenian roots with Anglo-Saxon pop, reimagining traditional folk through contemporary arrangements. Their sound balances intimate vocal lines and vivid instrumental textures, where modal melodies meet modern rhythms. The performance unfolds as a conversation between memory and reinvention, offering warm, transportive moments and energetic bursts that invite close listening and emotional resonance.

Led by singer George Beaver and musical director Zoé Jalabert, this concert brings together a pop‑rock band and a classroom orchestra. Performers include Matthieu Rouselle (drums), Enrico Chizzolini and Bastien Dériaz (electric guitars), Simon Tissot (bass) and a string and wind section featuring Guillaume Chambaud, Lucie Menier, Matthias Ernst and Marion Hugon. Through original compositions the programme fuses contemporary energy and classical technique, alternating raw electric textures with warm orchestral colours to create a jubilant, communal sound.
