HEAD Cinema Festival

The HEAD Cinema Festival returns for its second edition, celebrating the future of cinema with screenings, masterclasses, workshops, and debates. Discover films by HEAD – Genève students and graduates—already showcased worldwide—alongside open-air screenings, premières, guest talks, and evening events, with a special focus this year on sustainability in cinema.

Join us for an exclusive pre-screening of “SELON JOY” with director Camille Lugan in attendance. The film tells the story of Joy, a foundling raised by Father André, who lives a secluded life within the confines of a church. Her encounter with a mysterious young man carrying a delivery bag sparks a journey of self-discovery and a quest for a new life. This debut feature by Camille Lugan is praised for its distinctive atmosphere and the outstanding performances of the cast, beautifully captured through Victor Zébo’s cinematography.

Geneva Art Week unites local galleries and institutions through a vibrant series of events and celebrations over five days. Building on the legacy of Geneve.Art, the 2025 edition features openings, performances, guided tours, screenings, art workshops, panel discussions, talks, meet-and-greets, and readings. Spanning locations from the Old Town to Carouge and Eaux-Vives, this festive occasion is a highlight of Geneva’s cultural calendar.

La Nuit des Bains is a vibrant cultural evening in Geneva, celebrating contemporary art through the simultaneous openings of galleries in the Quartier des Bains. Organized by the Contemporary Art Association of the Quartier des Bains, the event is free and open to the public, inviting visitors to explore new exhibitions and engage directly with artists over drinks.

18 – 28 September

PLAZA ON TOUR sets up at Pavillon Sicli, offering films that encourage a collective rethinking of architecture. Following Art Genève, the Plaza’s mobile cinema showcases films on architecture that challenge the myth of the solitary architect, emphasizing collaboration and shared knowledge instead. The initiative, developed by BUREAU, draws inspiration from the industrial buildings of Marc J. Saugey in America.
