The duo Sabîl, featuring oud virtuoso Ahmad al Khatib and percussionist Youssef Hbeisch, crafts music that is deeply rooted in Eastern tradition yet reimagined in a contemporary style. Directed and adapted by Françoise Courvoisier—who previously brought Réal’s world to life in three earlier works—this intimate piece is set in the writer’s own kitchen, the heart of her confessions and creativity. Twenty years after her death, the play celebrates Réal’s fierce spirit and lyrical rage, honoring the woman who turned her life, her body, and her revolt into unforgettable literature.
