Join a conversation within the temporary exhibition on music and sustainability. This discussion will tackle the environmental impact of musical practices from the perspectives of both listeners and artists, exploring ways to produce and consume music sustainably. We will also contemplate how we might experience music in the year 2080. This event is part of a monthly series that addresses environmental issues through the unique lens of the MEG.

Craft and Play at Your Own Pace with Upcycled Materials! The “Joue à ton rythme!”  collective invites you to a music instrument-making workshop in the MEG Garden, inspired by Max Vandervost’s creations. This group turns recycled objects into musical instruments, offering participants the opportunity to perform together, create spontaneous music, and take turns conducting. Led by Alexandra Tundo, Andreas Fulgosi, and Jean-Marc Bassoli, the workshop is open to both children and adults, free of charge, and requires no prior registration. This event is part of a series focused on addressing urgent climate issues through the unique lens of the MEG.

20 April – 13 June

The FMAC is hosting Godzillab for a two-week creative workshop series tailored for kids.  Led by Estelle Germain, Fred Fivaz, and Kleio Obergfell-Thomaïdes, children will have the opportunity to design and craft giant monster posters for the FMAC’s exterior or create 3D dioramas inspired by extraordinary tales.

11 May & 1 June

The MEG’s Sunday Cinema offers a free film series focusing on music and current societal themes. Each month, documentaries, fictional films, and animations are screened in the Museum’s Auditorium on a first-come, first-served basis, with no prior registration needed.

Join artist and seamstress Kun Guo at the museum for a fabric pouch-making workshop. Discover how to craft a small drawstring pouch, perfect for repurposing your fabric scraps.

Spend a day at the museum dedicated to contemplating and responding to the climate crisis. The MEG offers a range of activities focused on how our daily actions affect the environment, in collaboration with experts and artists. The program features instrument-making workshops, discussions on the sustainability of music, an environmentally-themed reading area, and a film screening.
