Directed by Françoise Courvoisier, Les Glycines is a new creation by the TAC ensemble that examines the theme of madness through comic and reflective lenses. Performers including Nicole Aubert, Loulou Morisod, Catherine Vaucher, Zamila Yunus, Patrice von Büren, Claude Morex and Daniel Mouchet use improvised confidences to weave reality and fantasy. An exuberant late night tribute to Frank Zappa presented in collaboration with the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation. The evening opens with the playful collective 200 Zappas, followed by a focused homage from Swiss trio Steamboat and the inventive Geneva sextet L’Osmose. DJ Zemzem closes with an eclectic, groove driven set that threads improvisation, rock, and avant jazz into the night. Expect virtuosic performances, spirited reinterpretations and a bold, genre bending atmosphere.
