Courir

Courir (‘Running’) is more than a tale of sport; it is a political and human odyssey inspired by Jean Echenoz’s novel, tracing the remarkable life of Czech runner Emil Zatopek, a tireless man who became an Olympic legend and symbol of perseverance, freedom, and achievement. In a performance of rare intensity, Thierry Romanens, accompanied by the music trio Format A’3, brings Zatopek’s story to life with rhythm, humour, tension, and spoken word, set against a cinematic soundtrack. Presented in collaboration with the Ville de Lancy.
