An object, a sound, a story : check out Vany’s wishes

Join a family visit to meet Vany, who is celebrating her seventh birthday and has many wishes to share. Explore part of the temporary exhibition, looking closely at colorful objects and curious textures. Listen to Vany’s story and discover music from the museum collection that makes scenes come alive. Move, imagine, and point out sounds and shapes as you explore together, hearing melodies, spotting bright colors, and feeling the rhythm of the tale.

The Biopark is temporarily hosting Janus, a unique two-headed Greek tortoise, during the renovation of the Museum. Each head of this male tortoise has its own independent brain, which sometimes makes its movements challenging. In captivity, Janus receives attentive care, resulting in an impressive lifespan of 26 years.

Gather for a cozy storytelling session led by Mademoiselle F. From her background in set design and theatre, she brings bright, whimsical tales that stir the imagination. Children will enjoy a simple snack of tartines and seasonal fruit before settling in to hear stories that spark curiosity, colour, and playful thinking. Through expressive narration and gentle interaction, little ones are invited to explore feelings and creativity while listening and imagining together.

Explore masks from around the world and let their shapes, colors and symbols spark your imagination. Touch textured papers, try bright paints, and shape simple features with scissors and glue as you invent new faces. Work with playful rhythms and shared stories, experimenting with bold patterns and fluttering feathers. This hands-on workshop mixes art and learning, encouraging creativity, observation and pride in your very own mask.

“Les petites variations,” presented by Théâtre l’Articule, is a heartfelt exploration of intergenerational connections through two short forms mixing movement and objects. The first piece captures the spirit of travel using postcards and an aerial hoop, while the second takes us on a journey in a small car filled with childhood memories. Fatna Djahra and her team lovingly celebrate the legacy of elders and family memories.

Founded in 2009 by Fatna Djahra, the company carefully crafts performances for young audiences, ensuring they are respected as spectators. Collaborations include theaters in Geneva, Paris, and Normandy, with support from the Republic and Canton of Geneva, and the cities of Geneva and Lancy.
