To conclude its season in style, GECA welcomes Sampa The Great, a Zambian hip-hop icon. Drawing inspiration from her roots in Zambia and Botswana, as well as her urban experiences in Africa, she electrifies audiences with bold lyrics and unique rhythms. The concert will also feature Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony, conducted by David Greilsammer and featuring Nathan Vandenbulcke on drums.
Françoise Boillat brings Antigone to life in an outdoor performance set against the backdrop of seven “remarkable trees” each month. This unique production weaves Antigone’s defiance of political authority with her devotion to the gods. The ancient trees stand as silent witnesses to the enduring human struggles between law, nature, and freedom.

ClassiCosy presents the renowned Quatuor Strada in a complete cycle of Beethoven’s 16 string quartets, spread across seven concerts at Théâtre des Salons. The performances offer a profound exploration of the human soul and a distinctive spiritual experience for music lovers in Geneva.
Led by conductor Laurent Zufferey, this gala illuminates the virtuosic voices of the laureates of the Geneva Junior Music Competition. Solo performances with the Sinfonia Valais‑Wallis move between intimate chamber colours and soaring, poetic climaxes. The programme balances technical brilliance with reflective lyricism, guided by the discerning presence of patron Stéphane Lambiel and a jury of Emmanuelle Bertrand, Svetlana Makarova, Raphaël Merlin and Christian Chamorel. David McVicar’s staging of Mozart’s The Magic Flute frames a fantastical quest of love and initiation. The production features Julia Bullock (Pamina), Amitai Pati (Tamino), Huw Montague Rendall (Papageno), Kathryn Lewek (Queen of the Night) and Soloman Howard (Sarastro), led by conductor Marie Jacquot in her anticipated Covent Garden debut. McVicar balances fairy-tale spectacle and intimate emotion, conjuring luminous ensembles and eerie choruses, where the enchanted flute guides encounters with danger, wonder and sudden tenderness.

Based on the Jekyll myth, this theatrical adaptation examines metamorphosis as both physical and social, probing identity, gender and the boundary between good and male/female. Stark black-and-white staging and chiaroscuro lighting evoke twilight and old horror films, while a persistent, slicing fog thickens the atmosphere. The venerable Dr Jekyll’s unsettling experiments unfold in a late-19th-century London laboratory, and his circle is drawn into mounting anguish as transformations accelerate.
