Théâtricul is an intimate private theater with around fifty seats, tracing its history back to 1979. The venue has consistently aimed to be inclusive, welcoming various performing arts such as theater, circus, and singing. Additionally, it has actively engaged with the younger demographic by organizing theater workshops for children. Currently operated by a collective of artists, Théâtricul positions itself as an accessible platform for emerging performing arts companies, striving to serve as a stage and catalyst for fresh talent in the arts community.
Trois mecs au bol is a surreal, offbeat creation by Lorin Kopp, Steven Matthews, and Mirko Verdesca, who also perform on stage. Blending absurd humour, music, and a touch of the grotesque, the show questions what it means to grow up in a world where absurdity has become the new normal. Written “à plat tôt” by three clowns unaware of their own kinship, it’s a three-voiced chant to tame their demons – and perhaps yours, the one that slowly creeps in and gnaws from the inside.
