10 – 22 February

In early January 2022, two construction vehicles belonging to a Swiss multinational were set on fire at a gravel pit in the Geneva countryside. Over a year later, a young man — referred to as Jérémy — was arrested and suspected of involvement in the arson. Held in pre-trial detention, he was released after more than three months, following strong public support and mobilization.

A workshop of imagination, based on the fictional universe of Bâtir aussi — a collective work published by Cambourakis in 2018 — invites participants into the alternate history of the Haraka, a social movement that began with the Arab Spring in 2011 and spread to uprisings around the world.

Through small and large group discussions, this is a collective moment of exploration and experimentation, guided by two facilitators. The Labo Fiction / Antémonde Workshops offer a space to craft hopeful, feminist, and critical imaginaries that challenge the techno-industrial complex.

When we hear the word “family,” we often think of our own. But today, with so many different models, what truly defines a family?

In this playful, child-friendly performance, Muriel Imbach explores these questions through six whimsical characters — futuristic poets who reflect on chosen families, blended families, and the invisible bonds that connect us. A poetic journey into what it means to “make family” today.

The piece mixes laughter, small surprises and moments for thinking, sparking curiosity about chosen families and how we open our hearts to someone new.

Equipped with a notebook and pen, participants go on walks through the PAV district (Praille-Acacias-Vernet), where the theatre is located. They pause, observe, and record what they see and hear — capturing the evolving landscape of a neighborhood in full transformation.

Led by Jean-Louis Johannides, experienced in mapping and territorial exploration, these walks are a practice in attention, perception, and witnessing urban change — like gathering berries or herbs in a forest. No pressure to produce anything; just the joy of collecting the real.
