Who hasn’t burst out laughing watching someone fall flat on their face? No one. That’s why Mélodie decided to tell you everything: her past in the North, her fortune-teller’s predictions, her past lives, her attempts, her failures, her stumbles, her pelvic floor rehabilitation. An ode to the great mess our lives sometimes are.

Performed by Horizons Ensemble, this concert traces the fantastical soundscapes of Tim Burton’s films through unique arrangements that spotlight Danny Elfman’s evocative scores. From the whimsical shimmer of Alice in Wonderland to the gothic sweep of Batman and the macabre lyricism of Sweeney Todd, the program moves between menace and tenderness. Atmospheric lighting, the ensemble’s rich instrumental colours and theatrical pacing create shifting moods—at once intimate, uncanny and epic—transporting listeners into Burton’s cinematic imagination.
